Strategic plan 2025-2035

Ville de Brossard’s strategic plan for 2025-2035 is the result of a participatory process involving citizens, municipal staff and elected officials. The consultation process brought together a wide range of viewpoints to build a shared vision of the city’s future over the next decade.

The plan aims to ensure sustainable development and meet residents’ aspirations. It focuses on creating a quality living environment, with services and infrastructures adapted to everyone’s needs.

Brossard thus continues its efforts to remain an inclusive city, welcoming and respectful of its diverse communities, while anticipating future challenges related to population growth, the environment and urbanization.

Brossard is distinguished by its many facets

• Family – In Brossard, family always comes first. It’s a place where you can live, grow, age and thrive in safety.

• Inclusive – Brossard is one of 111 cities in Canada to support social inclusion.

• Community – This city with a human dimension is keen to encourage socio-cultural exchanges and other activities that bring people together, with a view to harmonious cohabitation.

• Multicultural – Brossard is rich in diversity. Nearly 60 communities contribute to its unique, welcoming character.

• Green – From access to nature and sustainable mobility to ecological urban planning and forestry, Brossard is a city that embraces the need for a socio-ecological transition to promote the health of its population.

• Welcoming – “Brossard” rhymes with “pont Samuel-De Champlain” and “Réseau express métropolitain” (REM), offering two ways to converge on Brossard, which prides itself on welcoming business and leisure tourism.

• Urban – With its residential and commercial mix, active business community and cultural life, Brossard is an urban city on a human scale.
  
• Visionary – Brossard is already looking ahead to 2040 and proposing a future downtown that is inclusive, innovative and sustainable, in line with its civic, business and community priorities.
