Welcome aboard the Réseau express métropolitain!
Proposed updated text: The REM is an automated light rail system in Greater Montreal. There are now 19 stations in service, including those on the South Shore section (from Brossard to Central Station) and on the Deux Montagnes antenna. Eventually, the network will comprise a total of 26 stations – including 3 in Brossard – including 13 stations with bus terminals or platforms, and 14 park-and-ride facilities.
REM now connects the South Shore, downtown Montreal, the West Island (Sainte Anne de Bellevue), the North Shore (Deux-Montagnes) – as well as Montreal Trudeau airport (which will open at a later date). The network is connected to the blue (Édouard Montpetit), green (McGill) and orange (Bonaventure) lines of the Montreal metro.
