Public art to embellish our spaces
At Ville de Brossard, many works of art, both temporary and permanent, embellish the interior and exterior of our buildings: sculptures, murals, artistic installations, etc. For us, public art is essential not only to make the brossardois landscape more attractive, but also to reinforce cultural identity and encourage the encounter between the community and art.
These works can be discreet or more imposing, in harmony or in contrast with the site where they are located. Some are intended to mark the urban space, while others may have a commemorative or identity-related dimension.

Public art takes a detour
To enable the general public and visitors to discover or rediscover the works with fresh eyes, an interactive map has been created in the BaladoDécouverte application, featuring photos and podcasts of the works. It gives you a good idea of where they are, as well as a dynamic audio capsule on each one.

Public art projects
Fragments (finished)
Created as part of an urban art project funded in part by the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications, the ephemeral work Fragments offers a much-needed wake-up call through an interactive, reactive approach. Visitors are invited to circulate between the meteorite fragments to see them react to their presence and reveal testimonials from the city’s residents. This ephemeral work of art is located at the Poly-Aréna sports complex.

Graffiti-style urban art project (2021)
Graffiti artists from Dose Culture, which has been designing and carrying out large-scale projects on the territory since 2013, collaborated with the City to create a graffiti-style urban art project at the skateboard park on Boulevard de Rome.
In addition, works by professional graffiti artists were produced on municipal or paramunicipal infrastructures as part of the graffiti approach, through which urban art is supervised. Through the quality of their design, these murals, linked to their environment, embellish the brossardois landscape and facilitate access to art in the neighborhoods.
