Badminton
Want to get moving indoors while having fun? Badminton is available in municipal gyms, during times reserved for free practice. It’s a great way to work on your coordination and speed… or just to have a good time with friends and family. Bring your own racket; shuttlecocks are often provided on site.
Free swimming – outdoor pools
Outdoor pools normally open for 8 weeks between the Saturday before Bastille Day and the3rd Sunday in August. Depending on the weather, the progress of preparatory work and the availability of student staff, some pools may open early in June.
Basketball
Outdoor basketball courts are freely accessible in several city parks. Whether you’d like to organize a match between friends or simply perfect your shot, these areas are open to all, all the time. Bring your ball and take advantage of summer to practice this dynamic and accessible sport.
Billiards
Billiards is a stimulating activity that combines precision and strategy. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, come and share a good time in a relaxed atmosphere. A snooker table is also available.
Water games
When the mercury rises, the water features are the perfect place to cool off! Spread across several of the city’s parks, these facilities are designed with children in mind… but there’s nothing to stop adults from taking a detour. Water jets, interactive fountains, misters – each site offers a unique experience, in a safe and pleasant setting.
Free skating
The city offers free skating according to your preferences, either indoors in the arenas or outdoors on the rinks.
Pickleball
Pickleball is growing in popularity, and Brossard now has several fields set up for free practice. This hybrid sport, halfway between tennis and badminton, is easy to learn and suitable for all ages. Whether you’re curious to try it out or already a fan, you’ll easily find a field near you.
Tennis
The city’s many outdoor tennis courts are available free of charge by reservation, outside teaching and league hours. The fields are accessible every day from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., with the exception of occasional blockages during major events at Poly-aréna Park or weekday reservations for day camps.
Table tennis
Another classic indoor sport, table tennis, is also available at several facilities. This activity, ideal for all generations, combines reflexes and precision in a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, we welcome you.
