General reminders
Absence, diet, allergies, swimming, extreme heat, medication, etc.
If your child needs to take medication during the day with the help of a monitor, don’t forget to ask the person in charge to provide you with the medication authorization form.
If your child shows up at camp without an auto-injector, you and your child will have to return home to pick it up. All Epipens must be carried throughout the day in a fanny pack. A yellow bracelet will be given to your child to identify him or her. Due to frequent food allergies, foods containing nuts, peanuts or peanut products are not recommended.
Two snack periods are scheduled, as well as a lunch period. Children do not have access to a microwave or refrigerator. They should therefore bring a cold lunch with an ice pack.
Bring along a reusable water bottle for your child to refill during the day.
For swimming sessions, please provide your child with the following equipment: Swimsuit; Beach towel; Floating aid – your child will be given a red wristband for easy identification, and must wear it throughout the week.
For arts and crafts activities, we ask that you provide your child’s instructor with rolls of toilet paper, paper towels and egg cartons.
It is possible to bring this equipment with you from the first week of camp.
If your child will be absent for the day, please call the camp to let us know. Phone numbers are available in the Parent’s Guide.
If you get voicemail, don’t hesitate to leave a message.
Other important reminders
- A backpack
- A cold lunch in a container, ideally insulated, with an ice pack and two snacks
- Reusable water bottle (mandatory)
- Espadrilles for sports activities
- A bathing suit, a towel and a bag for soiled clothes
- Clothes suited to the weather and activities (take care to choose clothes that can get dirty)
- Sunscreen and to have applied it before arriving at the camps
- No toys from home will be tolerated in the camps and will be confiscated.
- Depending on the camp chosen, other items or equipment may be required. Please see the “Specialized camps” section below.
