Preparing before you leave

The service is free of charge for all citizens, on presentation of driver’s license and vehicle registration.

  • Sort your materials by category and make sure their volume does not exceed 2.5 m³.
  • Bring proof of residence and a vehicle registration certificate.
  • Your vehicle must not exceed 7.5 m in length (including trailer). Tipping trailers are not permitted.
  • Unloading must be done manually.

What is accepted at an ecocenter?

  • Each address is entitled to 12 free accesses per year.
  • Prepare your driver’s license and vehicle registration.
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time to gain access to the ecocenter. During busy periods, the queue may be closed 30 minutes before the official closing time to allow access to citizens already waiting in line.
  • To prevent the spread of the emerald ash borer, tree branches and trunks must be deposited at the Marie-Victorin and Payer ecocentres, and not in the garbage bins or green waste collection.
