Recreational cannabis use has been legal in Canada since 2018. However, you can’t consume cannabis anywhere on Brussel territory.
Ville de Brossard is subject to federal and provincial cannabis legislation.
Reminder
Cannabis consumption in the city is governed by the Quebec government’s Cannabis Act. Consumption is therefore prohibited throughout the public domain. This includes :
- parks and green spaces;
- public roads;
- sidewalks;
- bike paths.
Growing cannabis for personal use is prohibited. This prohibition applies in particular to the planting of seeds and plants, the reproduction of plants by cuttings, the cultivation of plants and the harvesting of their produce.
