Important guidelines for the collection of branches and tree trimmings

  • Branches should be tied into bundles 40 cm (16 in.) in diameter and 1.5 m (5 ft.) long. Branches should not exceed 5 cm in diameter.
  • Branches and residues can be deposited in a metal or plastic container with handles, weighing no more than 25 kg or 55 lb.
  • Branches and residues may be deposited in a non-City-owned wheeled bin (without the Brossard logo), weighing no more than 100 kg or 220 lb.
  • If your personal bin is brown or grey and could be confused with the City’s bins, we suggest identifying your bin with a square marker or with colored adhesive tape on two sides of the bin to differentiate it.
  • Plastic bags, paper bags and cardboard boxes are not accepted for this collection.

  • Twigs.
