Terms and conditions (annual subscriptions)

Terms

The annual pass is valid for 12 months from the month of purchase, and gives access to all open-air bathing facilities at the complex*. During this period, it is understood that :

  • The bciti+ loisir membership must be valid at the time of purchase of the aquatic membership;
  • The participant has access to the changing room 15 minutes before the start of the bath;
  • The complex’s pools close alternately every two years for a period of around four weeks, from mid-August to mid-September, for periodic maintenance. In 2025, no closures are planned. In 2026, the competitive pool will be undergoing maintenance, while the recreational pool will remain open.*;
  • Baths can be reserved exclusively for City day camps*;
  • Wibit events are excluded from the free baths offered to participants;
  • The complex is closed on certain public holidays*;
  • Baths may be cancelled from time to time for reasons such as competitions, breakdowns or fortuitous events beyond the City’s control*;
  • The bathing schedule is available on the website and is subject to change without notice.

*Pricing is adapted to take account of the above-mentioned factors.

Conditions

  • No refunds or extensions will be issued in the event of planned/unplanned closures or schedule changes;
  • It is possible to cancel an annual subscription. Refunds will be prorated for unused months;
  • Subscriptions are neither shareable nor transferable;
  • All members of a family membership must have proof of residence and live at the same address (except 0-5 years – proof of parentage required).

Question and answer on the introduction of pricing

The amount earmarked for the tax account is intended to finance the construction of the $44 million Complexe aquatique, while the fee structure at the baths is intended to partially finance the operating costs of the Complexe aquatique.

  • All adults living at the same address
  • All children living at the same address as their parents
  • All children with proof of parentage to an adult resident of Brossard

1. Proof of residence (for residents only) :

– ID card with photo, name and full address (e.g. driver’s license).

Or

– Photo ID WITHOUT full address (e.g. health insurance card) AND an official government document (provincial or federal) or tax bill (municipal or school) from the current or previous year.

2. Photo (under 2 years old are exempt).

3. Proof of parentage or legal guardianship for children under 18: birth certificate, hospital card, current year’s report card.

  • Unit admission is valid for the single free swim in which you participate.
  • In addition, unit admission can only be purchased on site 15 minutes before the start of the free swim.

Only bciti+ loisir is required to register for guided activities at the Complexe aquatique. This practice was in effect prior to the construction of the Complexe aquatique and is applicable to all directed activities of the Ville de Brossard and its organizations (day camps, fitness, field hockey, soccer, etc.).

No. Open-bath admission rates apply only to users who do not have an annual aquatic pass. The annual subscription gives you access to all the baths offered* at no extra cost.

* The exceptions described in the Terms and Conditions section apply (see below).

Yes, non-residents have always had access to directed activities. However, priority registration is given to residents for a minimum of 72 hours. In view of this contingency, the majority of places in the courtyards are occupied by residents.

No, no reservation is required to participate in the open bath.

However, Brossard residents and aquatic pass holders have priority access to the pools at all times. This means that during the busiest periods, non-residents may have to wait for places to become available before being able to swim.

Yes, you can, including statutory holidays, the holiday season and spring break. Non-resident members must pay a non-resident entrance fee.

The number of participants in directed activities is determined in particular by external training partners such as the Lifesaving Society.

  • The programming aims to strike a balance between the needs expressed by users, the sharing of pools with the activities of organizations and the offer of open-air bathing.
  • The range of guided activities takes into account the availability of specialized manpower. Ville de Brossard, like many other employers, is currently facing labour shortage issues.
  • Due to COVID-19, the training of specialized manpower was suspended for almost two (2) years, resulting in an already significant resource shortfall.
  • The workforce is mainly made up of students who are available evenings and weekends.
