Program objective

This program is designed to ensure the safety and integrity of aquatic enthusiasts by providing financial assistance throughout Quebec. The aim is to offer free lifeguard and aquatic instructor training, thereby alleviating the shortage of aquatic manpower, improving access to safe swimming areas and increasing the number of swimming lessons on offer.

Target

This program is designed for anyone with the physical and swimming skills to take part in lifesaving and teaching courses (teenagers, adults and seniors). This means you can return to work as a lifeguard or aquatic instructor, free of charge.

Free training

This applies not only to training courses, but also to certificates and manuals. Only personal items such as whistles and pocket masks are at participants’ expense. Find out more about free training on the Lifesaving Society website.
