Environment 28 February 2025 Last update 04/11/2025

The budget for 2025 is exhausted! Thank you for your interest and participation. See you next year!

Save up to $100 on the purchase of sustainable hygiene products, including cloth diapers!

In Quebec, an estimated 600 million disposable diapers are sent to landfill every year, and each one takes between 200 and 500 years to decompose. You can make a difference by switching to cloth diapers for your child. A single cloth diaper can replace 230 single-use diapers.

The City reimburses 50% of the purchase price, up to a maximum of :

  • 100 for cloth diapers purchased at a Brossard-based store.
  • 75 for cloth diaper purchases made in a store outside Brossard.

Eligibility criteria

  • Be a resident of Brossard.
  • Be pregnant or have a child under 18 months of age when purchasing cloth diapers.
  • Apply no later than 12 months after purchase of cloth diapers.
  • Limit of one grant application per residential address per year.
  • Undertake to use cloth diapers for your child (sworn declaration).
  • Used diapers will now be accepted on condition that they are accompanied by an invoice from a business registered with the Quebec Enterprise Register.

Documents to be prepared

  • Proof of residence (e.g. driver’s license, Hydro-Québec bill, tax bill)
  • Proof of birth (e.g. birth certificate, pregnancy certificate)

  • Air-dry your diapers
  • Wash your diapers in a full load machine
  • Use an energy-efficient washing machine
  • Wash diapers in lukewarm water
  • Choose detergents with EcoLogo certification
