On August 29, Culture Montérégie, in partnership with the Quebec government, launched its Vitrine Virtuelle Montérégienne project and unveiled the selected artists.

A Brossard woman is one of eight artists chosen to take part in this nationwide initiative. Janou-Eve LeGuerrier, author-illustrator, stood out in this first edition of the competition, which was held throughout Quebec.

“I’d like to congratulate Janou-Eve LeGuerrier on this great success and underline her undeniable talent. I am proud to see a Brossard artist of this quality receive such recognition for her work. The City of Brossard attaches great importance to art. An artist of Ms. LeGuerrier’s caliber is sure to showcase our local talent,” declared Brossard Mayor Doreen Assaad.

From now until November 5, artists from Vitrine Virtuelle Montérégienne will be taking part in a creative residency in a 3D virtual environment. They will present their artistic approach and the research and creation process that led to the creation of their works. The public can witness this evolution, right up to the final result.
