BROSSARD, January 10, 2025 – Ville de Brossard is proud to announce the signing of a new collective agreement with its blue-collar salaried employees. This agreement, which was formalized on January 9, 2025, covers a seven-year period, from January1, 2022 to December 31, 2028.
The agreement provides for the following salary increases:
- 2.75% for the years 2022 and 2023;
- 2.5% for 2024;
- 2.75% for 2025 and 2026;
- an increase of 2% to 3% for 2027 and 2028, depending on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
Beyond the salary adjustments, this agreement embodies the parties’ shared commitment to building a respectful and harmonious working environment. Key measures include
- new collaborative dispute resolution mechanisms;
- optimized management of overtime;
- setting up a working committee to extend evening and weekend service hours, while ensuring a consistent distribution of staff.
Members of the blue-collar union voted on this agreement in principle at a general meeting held on December 3. With 76% support, the agreement was then adopted at the special City Council meeting of December 17, 2025.
The City would like to underline the positive and facilitating attitude of the union representatives. “It was a fine negotiation, marked by respect, listening and a true spirit of teamwork. This agreement testifies to our shared desire to find coherent solutions that are beneficial to all parties,” declared Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.
With this new collective agreement, Ville de Brossard reaffirms its commitment to maintaining a rewarding work environment for its employees and to offering quality services to the people of Brossard.
