Ville de Brossard informs its citizens that the preventive boil water advisory is now lifted on its entire territory.
Tests have confirmed that the water is safe to drink. It is therefore no longer necessary to boil it before consumption.
Once the boil advisory has been lifted, the following precautions should be taken:
- Run water from all cold water taps for a few minutes. Follow the same procedure for fountains and drinking troughs, if applicable;
- Empty, wash and disinfect ice machines;
- bleed external taps;
- in the case of a water treatment device, check with the manufacturer for the measures to be taken.
