To mark Earth Day, the Ville de Brossard is relaunching its environmental subsidy programs to help citizens adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives. Reduce your water consumption, compost at home, green your yard or replace certain everyday products: the City offers financial support to help you take action quickly and easily.
Concrete action at the heart of the ecological transition
These programs are part of Brossard’s Ville de Brossard’s Environmental Policy 2025which aims to accelerate the ecological transition by focusing on solutions that are accessible and rooted in living environments.
Initiatives accessible to all
Subsidies are used to support
- the purchase of domestic composters;
- the creation of areas conducive to biodiversity;
- tree planting;
- the purchase of sustainable hygiene products;
- the use of environmentally-friendly outdoor maintenance equipment;
- measures to save drinking water.
Up to $7,500 for community projects
The city also supports community projects. Citizen groups, organizations and institutions can obtain up to $7,500 per project for initiatives that have a tangible impact on their community.
These projects must encourage active citizen participation and contribute to priority issues such as biodiversity, water management, residual materials and climate change. A total budget of $25,000 has been earmarked for this program.
