Two new Consignaction return locations in Brossard

As part of the modernization of the deposit system in Quebec, two new Consignaction return locations have opened in Brossard. These state-of-the-art facilities enable citizens to return their returnable beverage containers quickly and efficiently.


Our services

Each location offers two options:

  • Return by unit: containers are deposited one by one in automated machines, with cash or electronic reimbursement.
  • Express return: drop-off of a bag of unsorted containers, with electronic reimbursement after sorting and settlement.

Citizens can also use the Consignaction mobile application to manage their refunds.

Schedule

To assist citizens, Consignaction’s team of returns advisors is available according to the following schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Thursday and Friday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Towards a hybrid network

Since 2024, the deposit system has been evolving towards a hybrid model combining :

  • Dedicated return facilities (Consignaction and Consignaction+)
  • Retailer return zones (Zone Consignaction)

Objective: achieve a 90% recovery rate by 2032.


Phase 2: Expanding the instructions

As of March 1, 2025, plastic beverage containers (100 ml to 2 L) are returnable, including :

  • Bottled water, juices, sports drinks, milk, spirits

A third phase is scheduled for March 1, 2027, and aims to :

  • Glass bottles for wine and spirits
  • Multi-layer cardboard containers (milk, juice)
