At last night’s public meeting, the municipal council appointed Sophie Allard as deputy mayor.
At last night’s public meeting, the Brossard municipal council appointed Sophie Allard, councillor for district 6 (sector S), to act as deputy mayor. This appointment takes effect today, May 17, 2023, for an indefinite period.
The deputy mayor has and exercises the powers of the mayor when the latter is absent from the territory or is unable to fulfill the duties of her office.
In accordance with the Cities and Towns Act, a municipality is required to have a deputy mayor at all times.
