These days will showcase visual art in a variety of forms and give the public a chance to discover the culture.
During the Journées de la culture weekend, the Ville de Brossard is delighted to open the doors of the Centre socioculturel Alphonse Lepage to welcome visitors to the Salon des arts visuels. Under the artistic direction of painter Melsa Montagne, more than 115 artists, painters and sculptors, will be exhibiting from September 24 to 26.
“It is with great pleasure that we invite the public to visit the Salon des arts visuels throughout the weekend and vote for the Coup de cœur du public awards, which will be unveiled on Sunday afternoon. We hope that this art show will inspire and educate our citizens, and that these exhibitions will instill in them a sense of pride in the talents we have here at home,” declared Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.
These days will showcase visual art in its various forms, and allow the public to discover culture through workshops and encounters with artists. Activities will be held at the Centre Socioculturel Alphonse Lepage and the Bibliothèque de Brossard Georgette-Lepage. Admission and parking are free, and online reservations are required for all activities.
Perform’Art, a new wayto experience the Show…
Once again this year, the Perform’Art! activity-experience will take center stage on Saturday evening, allowing visitors to experience the Show in a whole new way. In a festive atmosphere, based on experimental drawing and sculpture workshops and an updated youth section, a master of digital performance art will initiate a mural influenced by the works, the artists and even the public!
