Ville de Brossard invites artists to submit their applications in painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media and photography for the 2024-2025 exhibition season. The selected projects, chosen by an independent jury, will be presented in one of the city’s two exhibition venues, the Hall des Arts or the Espace Mur-mur des arts. These venues are recognized for their quality, visibility and the diversity of the works on display. A bursary of $500 per exhibition is available for selected artists. The deadline for submissions is March 10, 2024.

TheEspace Mur-mur des arts, located on the second floor of the Brossard Georgette-Lepage library, is very popular, with nearly 1,000 visitors every day.
The Hall des Arts is located on the second floor of Brossard City Hall, on the staircase leading to the Council Chamber, and continues into the same room.
Composition of the artist’s file
When submitting his or her application via the Ville de Brossard website, the artist must submit the following information:
- Curriculum vitæ;
- Artistic approach;
- One-page summary of proposed artistic project (optional);
- Ten digital JPEG images;
- Descriptive list of works presented (title, dimensions, medium and year of creation).
File compliance
The conformity of the file will be evaluated according to the following elements:
- An artist who has exhibited in Brossard between 2019 and 2023 is not eligible for this call for submissions;
- Designs must be original and recent;
- The themes and subjects exploited must be appropriate for public places (no nudity or violence);
- The file must be complete and meet all requirements before being submitted to the jury.
