School break | Brossard is in fun mode!

23 February 2022 Last update 17/05/2025

Ville de Brossard invites families to enjoy indoor and outdoor spring break activities.

School break is just around the corner, and Ville de Brossard is inviting everyone to enjoy the vacation season with their families. From February 28 to March 6 inclusively, the city is in fun mode, welcoming young and old to its indoor and outdoor facilities all over the territory.

Winter sports fans: make the most of it before spring!

Before the snow melts, Brossard residents are invited to the Centre de plein air de Brossard to enjoy their favorite winter activities: cross-country skiing, sliding and skating. In the Grand parc Urbain, citizens can walk, cross-country ski or watch a large snow mural take shape before their eyes during the week.

Bicycle enthusiasts can also take to the streets on fat bikes. It’s also possible to sharpen up your skates and head to one of the twenty-two (22) neighbourhood rinks, where there will be special entertainment during the day and evening.

Do you prefer warmer activities?

As winter can play tricks on you, the town is offering indoor activities, subject to reservation. School break is the perfect time to reserve a time at the Complexe aquatique’s open bath, which now has a larger capacity, to skate at the Michel-Normandin arena or the Bell Sports Complex, and to play a game of badminton with the whole family.

Please note that some indoor and outdoor activities require a vaccination passport and are subject to resource availability.

Those who haven’t yet discovered the Brossard Georgette-Lepage Library’s Espace jeunes will be delighted to spend hours in this perfect place for imagining, reading and having fun. What’s more, the library offers a range of virtual activities during spring break.

As a reminder, since February 21, the library has been able to relax some of its sanitary instructions, while others remain:

  • 100% capacity;
  • Computer workstations and workrooms for 2 people available;
  • Technological and play equipment in the Espace Jeunes accessible by family bubble;
  • Espace Bouvry accessible;
  • One-meter distance between people;
  • Wearing of medical-grade masks for ages 5 and over (extension);
  • No eating or drinking (extended).
