Ville de Brossard is pleased to present its Saveurs des Fêtes event, to be held on the weekends of November 19, 20, 21 and 26, 27, 28 at the Centre Socioculturel Alphonse-Lepage and the Georgette-Lepage Brossard Library. The public is invited to this three-part event: the Salon des métiers d’art, the Salon des tendances créatives and the outdoor gourmet site. This year, visitors will benefit from booking early for a chance to win one of 4 contest prizes by registering before November 10 – details available online.

Timetable for the site and trade fairs for both weekends :

Friday | 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Creative Trends Show

This unique event in the region takes visitors to the heart of new technologies through workshops and demonstrations on the themes of innovation and creativity, interactivity and “Doit yourself”, in a festive atmosphere.

The urban gourmet site

Outside, visitors will enjoy wandering through an alley of containers transformed into artisan and specialized producer spaces. A gustatory stroll in an urban atmosphere to discover some twenty exhibitors over the two weekends. The perfect occasion to garnish the table with festive gourmet treats!

Featured at the Salon des tendances créatives, THÉO JANSEN ‘s lecture / the creative experience: live presentation on giant screen with animator. Trained as an engineer-physicist, the Dutch artist presents astonishing kinetic sculptures created from plastic tubes.

Workshops for 9-17 year-olds will be presented by SAT on digital audio production and live video creation, Vjing, and by Young Engineers on building robots with Lego.

The Galerie Renée-Blain at the Centre Socioculturel will be hosting Imagirobot, an exhibition by four artists on the theme of robots, from November 19 to January 31.

The Laboratory of Curiosities will offer a strolling tour: machine-sculptures, animatronics and animated creations will be grouped together for an astonishing look.

Musical show

Beloved singer Annie Villeneuve presents Noël chez moi on December 5, at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale at brossard.ca/box-office.

Four great visual adventures in Brossard!

On November 19, 20 and 27, different areas of the city will host a series of Christmas illuminations. On the first weekend, the area around City Hall and the Library will become magical for the opening of Saveurs des Fêtes; the following day, Quartier DIX30’s Avenue des lumières will feature spectacular lighting and pyrotechnic effects; and finally, the following weekend, it’s the turn of Mail Champlain’s outdoor space to offer its burst of color, while the new Solar Uniquartier / Grand parc urbain urban environment will present the grand conclusion supported by classical and traditional sounds.

Workshops at the library

The Georgette-Lepage Brossard Library will also be offering creative and festive activities for youngsters: an animation for ages 12 and up in the Fab Lab to make holiday ornaments, a MakeDo workshop with cardboard and the creation of artistic Christmas cards for ages 6 to 12. Book online.

Additional information

Admission and parking are free. Online booking and vaccination passport required. Visitors are invited to bring their own reusable bags and to pay in cash. Some exhibitors also offer direct payment.
