Revision of the Programme particulier d’urbanisme (PPU) – Centre-ville | Brossard citizens mobilized for a downtown that meets their expectations

31 August 2021 Last update 17/05/2025

A virtual information evening will be held on September 15, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, to unveil the results of the survey.

Conducted from April 30 to May 17, the survey on the revision of the Programme particulier d’urbanisme (PPU) attracted the interest of Brossard residents. In just two weeks, over 1,970 people responded to the online questionnaire. A virtual information evening will be held on September 15, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, to unveil the results of this survey.

As a reminder, the results will serve as a basis for the discussions that will take place during the next participatory stages, which will be held in November, with ideation workshops, and in spring 2022, with a citizen consultation. The results of the questionnaire are therefore very important, as they will define the main directions of the project.

“At the information evening, citizens will be able to learn about the preferences of the majority of respondents to the questionnaire. Based on these results, the City will consider the next steps. I’m delighted that Brossard residents are so enthusiastic about this project, because we’re working in their interests, and we want to make sure that our city’s vision meets their expectations and needs,” said Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.

The City of Brossard is assisted by the firm Atelier urbain in the PPU revision project. This project is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM) and the Programme d’aide financière pour la planification de milieux de vie durables (PMVD) of the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation. This program meets the objectives of the Quebec government’s Plan for a Green Economy 2030.

Residents are invited to visit brossard.ca/centre-ville to register and receive a link to attend the information evening. They are also encouraged to download the Imaginons notre centre-ville podcast, which was launched two weeks ago and will help them discover the future downtown area of Brossard in a whole new way!
