Residents Give the Ville de Brossard High Marks

Municipal organization 17 June 2026 Last update 17/06/2026

Municipal Services Satisfaction Survey

The results of the most recent satisfaction survey conducted by Léger show that Brossard residents are largely satisfied with the municipal services provided by the Ville de Brossard. Conducted among 1,392 residents between May 14 and 25, 2026, the study reveals that 86% of respondents say they are satisfied with their municipality, a 3% increase compared to 2023.

Results That Stand Out

The results, presented at the June 16 city council meeting, reflect citizens’ trust in their municipal government and their appreciation for the quality of the services provided.

“These results are a source of great pride for the entire city council and administration. They demonstrate that the investments made in recent years are paying off and that Brossard continues to stand out as a high-quality place to live. However, we view these results with a sense of realism, as they also remind us of the importance of continuing our efforts to meet the high expectations of our residents,” said Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.

The study highlights several of the city’s strengths. The municipal library has a satisfaction rate of 93%, while parks and green spaces, cultural events, and recreational and sports facilities all have a satisfaction rate of 90%.

Municipal communication services (84%), the quality of service provided to residents (85%), and waste collection and community maintenance services also received very favorable ratings. In addition, 86% of respondents say they would recommend Brossard as a place to live.

Another notable finding is that 73% of respondents consider the tax rate to be acceptable, a figure significantly higher than the provincial average of 52%.

Clearly Identified Priorities

The survey also helps identify the issues that are of greatest concern to the public. In particular, respondents would like to see improvements to basic services (33%), a cap on tax increases (23%), and improvements to traffic flow and road safety (21%).

Traffic flow during rush hour, the condition of certain major roads, and the maintenance of Taschereau Boulevard (which is the responsibility of the Government of Quebec) are among the key areas in need of improvement.

“Our citizens have sent us a clear message. We are pleased to see their appreciation for municipal services, but we also hear their concerns. Where the City has the authority to act, we will continue to take concrete steps to improve residents’ quality of life,” added the mayor.

The City Council would like to thank all the citizens who took the time to participate in this consultation and make their voices heard.

The invitation to participate in the survey was sent by mail to the entire population, and the survey was conducted online by the firm Léger from May 14 to 25, 2026, among 1,392 residents of Brossard.
