Register your party and celebrate with your neighbors on June 6!

Neighborhood Festival 2026

The Ville de Brossard is inviting residents to organize a block party on the occasion of Neighbours’ Day, which will be celebrated across Quebec on Saturday, June 6. This unifying event is an ideal opportunity to forge links between neighbors and strengthen the sense of belonging to the community.

Planning is as easy as 1-2-3!

BBQs, picnics, shared meals, 5 à 7s – any idea is a good one for bringing people together in the neighborhood. The party can be held on private property, on a street or in a park. However, certain authorizations must be obtained from the city to occupy the public domain.

Multiple benefits for the community

In addition to fostering exchanges, a neighborhood party helps to encourage mutual support, reinforce a sense of security, break down isolation and welcome new residents. A great opportunity to transform the streets into even more supportive living environments.

The town supports the organizers

To help citizens organize their festivities, the city provides a range of free promotional tools, including posters, invitation cards and an organizer’s kit. It is also possible to borrow tables (limited quantities) and request street closures. Practical tips on how to become a true party pro are also available at brossard.ca/feteduvoisinage.

A special guest could join the festivities

The Mayor of Brossard and President of Espace MUNI, Doreen Assaad, will be attending a number of neighbourhood parties to meet Brossard residents. “It’s a renewed pleasure, every year, to greet the citizens who actively participate in the vitality of our neighbourhoods. I love talking to my neighbors from near and far, who help make Ville de Brossard such a welcoming city. It’s always a great joy for me to see how much solidarity there is in our community. It makes me even prouder to be a Brossardoise,” declared Mayor Assaad.

Espace MUNI, the conductor of this event

Espace MUNI is the Quebec-wide promoter of Neighborhood Day. This non-profit organization was created in 2020 following the merger of Carrefour action municipale et famille and Réseau québécois Villes et Villages en santé. Its mission is to help municipalities and MRCs offer their citizens a better quality of life. More than 400 organizations take part in this block party every year.
