In response to an act of vandalism in 2024, the City of Brossard unveils a spectacular new play module that will be installed in Parc Santerre in the fall of 2025. This initiative is part of a drive to modernize neighborhood parks while promoting outdoor fun for children. This project follows on from the improvements made to the park in 2023.
The new development will take the form of an impressive eight-metre-high tower, designed for children aged 5 to 12. It will offer :
- slides, climbing walls and platforms to explore;
- a variety of fun and sensory experiences;
- a stimulating environment conducive to discovery and outdoor fun.

- To ensure safe installation and optimum surface restoration, the playing and training areas will be temporarily closed during the work, for an estimated period of two to three weeks only.
“Every park we redevelop reflects our desire to offer citizens living environments that are just like them – green spaces that are welcoming, inclusive and well thought-out. With the redevelopment of Santerre Park, as with other parks transformed in recent years, we are continuing to build a city on a human scale, where it’s good to live, to be together and to see our children grow up”, emphasizes Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.
The contract for this work was awarded at the municipal council meeting of July 8, 2025, in the amount of $312,619.27, taxes included.
