Quartier DIX30 in Brossard to host women’s health campus

Community 12 May 2026 Last update 26/05/2026

The Ville de Brossard and the Cité Universitaire de la Santé Des Femmes (CUSDF) are announcing the implementation, in Quartier Dix30, of a structuring and innovative project that will sustainably transform women’s health in Quebec and beyond.

For too long, women’s health has been considered through fragmented approaches, often focusing on illness rather than on prevention, health maintenance and overall support. CUSDF wants to change this reality by proposing a more humane, accessible model, better adapted to women’s physical, psychological, social and cultural needs.

This ambitious initiative is the brainchild of Fabrice Brunet, who has a global, integrated and innovative vision of healthcare. It is backed by the commitment of the Honourable Danièle Henkel, by the leadership of the Ville de Brossard and its mayor Doreen Assaad, and by the support of Développement économique de l’agglomération de Longueuil, notably through Julie Ethier. CUSDF is proposing an innovative model.

“The Cité Universitaire de la Santé Des Femmes (CUSDF) is based on a global vision of health, defined not as the absence of disease, but as a physical, mental, social and cultural balance that must be maintained throughout life. The CUSDF will develop expertise to meet these needs,” explains Fabrice Brunet, President of the Quartier de l’Innovation en Santé.

Sonia Bélanger, Minister of Health, Minister responsible for Seniors and Caregivers, applauds this initiative by the Quartier de l’Innovation en Santé (QIS) and will be following this inspiring project with interest.

By bringing together expertise in care, research, prevention, training, innovation and support within a single ecosystem, CUSDF aims to better respond to the realities of women at every stage of their lives.

Located in Quartier DIX30, the CUSDF will take shape in an environment that is accessible to all, caring and dynamic, and conducive to the emergence of a true center of excellence dedicated to women’s overall health. This unifying project aims to mobilize the entire local and international ecosystem to transform knowledge into concrete solutions.

“This partnership marks a turning point for Brossard. It redefines the place of healthcare at the heart of our development and positions our city as an innovative, accessible and connected center of excellence. By bringing together knowledge, research and services, we are creating a truly structuring ecosystem that will make Brossard an international benchmark, to the direct benefit of our community’s quality of life,” emphasizes Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.

At the heart of this initiative is a strong conviction that current models need to evolve.

Today, CUSDF is launching an appeal to institutional, clinical, academic, community, philanthropic and private partners wishing to contribute to this major transformation in Quebec. A call to build together!
