The run-in will allow the city to adjust before the official opening, scheduled for the end of January 2021.
“I’m absolutely thrilled with the quality of this regional building! The high ceilings, enormous halls and three distinct zones of the aquatic complex create a spectacular effect of grandeur. After months of hard work and on budget, I’m very proud to unveil our new aquatic complex to the people of Brossard,” said Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.
Registration required
To limit the number of users in the pools, and in line with current health regulations, Brossard residents with a bciti loisir card are invited to visit brossard.ca/complexeaquatique each morning to reserve their place free of charge for one of the timeslots offered the following day.
Please note that the free service will apply exclusively during the running-in period. Registration is limited to a time slot of around 1 h 30 per day per person, to give as many people as possible the chance to try out the facilities.
In order to comply with sanitary measures, users must follow the following instructions: do not have any symptoms associated with COVID-19, enter the building 5 minutes before the chosen time slot, wear a mask from the moment they arrive at the complex until they enter the water. In addition, they must bring an identified watertight container or bag in which to place the mask, follow the directional arrows and leave the area quickly after swimming. Please note that access to the locker room and showers is permitted by government decree.
The complex promises to impress!
As work nears completion, the city proudly unveils a video highlighting the state-of-the-art equipment that makes the complex one of a kind in Quebec.

“The Brossard aquatic complex has everything to appeal to the widest possible audience. It’s accessible to people with reduced mobility and families with strollers. Among the many facilities, I’m particularly looking forward to seeing the children’s river in action, the access ramp to the 50-metre pool and the slides with timing system,” concludes Michelle J. Hui, city councillor for sectors L-N-J-X-Y.
