Ville de Brossard has installed a new ice surface behind the chalet in the large urban park (6000 Rue De Châteauneuf), to enable Brossard residents to practice their skating skills outdoors and take advantage of the outdoor winter activities offered by the city during this time of pandemic.
Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard, is delighted with this announcement: “In the face of the new wave of the pandemic that is hitting us hard, outdoor activities are an essential refuge for families and the population in general. I’d like to thank the city’s teams for their efficiency and agility in quickly setting up this improved outdoor skating service.”
“Located in the heart of Sector C, Brossard’s large urban park has a distinctive personality, characterized by its size, its natural, wooded area and the activities it offers. I invite all Brossardites to take advantage of the addition of this new ice surface to discover or rediscover this unique area of our city”, added Christian Gaudette, Councillor for District 1 (sectors C-B-E),
This new ice cream joins the 21 others currently in service across the city. Opening hours are 5 pm to 9 pm, Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 9 pm, Saturday and Sunday. To keep track of the status of outdoor rinks, residents are invited to visit the city’s website at patinage-libre-exterieur.
Please note that due to new sanitary measures established by the Quebec government on December 30, cottages are now closed. However, outdoor facilities are available for everyone to put on their skates.
