Registration for winter activities

A wide range of fitness and wellness, sports, fitness and aquatic training activities are on offer this winter. Places are also still available for singing lessons at the École de musique. Registration opens on December 12 at 6 p.m. for residents, and on December 16 at 9 a.m. for non-residents. To find out how to register and the program for the Winter 2024 session, visit activities.

Free outdoor activities to play with the elements

The new Great Urban Park pavilion will host free activities to get the whole family moving this winter:

  • ZUMBOTTES | January 20, February 17 and March 9, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
  • CARDIO MITAINES | February 3 and March 16, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
  • CARDIO MITAINES SOUS LES ÉTOILES | February 24, 7 to 8 p.m.

You can also try your hand at oversized-tire cycling and explore the Great Urban Park. Free trial for ages 8 and up:

  • EXPLORE YOUR LARGE URBAN PARK | December 27, January 27 and March 8, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On the ice at the CN Sports Complex

Lace up your skates and hit the ice at the CN Sports Complex for themed free skating sessions:

  • PATINE EN ROUGE | December 17, 1 to 4 p.m.
  • PATINE EN CARREAUTÉ | March 6, 1 to 6 p.m.

Take advantage of our outdoor facilities, including skating rinks, cross-country ski trails and toboggan slides, which will open as soon as the weather permits!

Swimming lessons are off this winter…

Registration for the spring session will take place in February 2024. Make sure you know your child’s level in advance and have your bciti+ card ready.

…But there’s no break for spring break and pedagogical days!

Regular and specialized spring break camps will return for the week of March 4-8, 2024. Registration opens at 6 p.m. on January 11. Consult the list of camps offered at camp-relache.

Would you like to keep your children busy on pedagogical days? Workshops and film screenings are organized at the Georgette-Lepage Brossard Library on January 26, February 8 and 9 and at Spring Break.

Cultural activities to keep you warm

The library offers a wide range of indoor activities. As part of February’s Month of Favourites, vote for your favourite book in the Young and Adult Subscribers’ Favourite Great Book contest for a chance to win a $25 Renaud-Bray gift card!

Teens can enjoy a popcorn movie on January 13 and a candy movie on March 16. The Fab Lab also offers a range of free and organized activities. Adults will not be outdone. Workshops and conferences include a lecture on South Korea by guest speaker Daniel Charbonneau, on January 31.

Art lovers are in for a treat with two new exhibitions opening on January 12 at Hall des Arts and Espace Mur-mur des arts, and an exhibition running until February 4 at Galerie Renée-Blain. Discover the featured artists and their works on display.

Events that warm body, heart and soul

On December 3, we set the table for the festive season with the Christmas show for ages 4 to 10. Sing, dance, jig and stamp your feet to the sound of violin and folk music. Let yourself be transported by the words of the storytellers. Tickets are still available. Another children’s show will be presented on March 3, 2024. Details to follow shortly.

The popular Cafés-concerts will be back in 2024. Take in performances by exceptional artists over a steaming cup of coffee and a pastry. Hurry, tickets are selling like hotcakes! Advance sales for residents from December 11: ticket office.

The year 2024 gets off to a warm start with the traditional Exchange of Wishes with elected representatives on January 20. This year’s event promises to be more family-friendly, with a few new features aimed at our youngest citizens. It’s the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with your mayor, Doreen Assaad, and city councillors.
