The City invites visual artists to submit two works for the Salon des arts visuels. It’s an opportunity for over 150 painters and sculptors to exhibit and share their art with visitors from the region. Artists must register before June 30.
The event will return on September 24, 25 and 26, 2021, in a formula adapted to the current pandemic situation. During the Journées de la culture, at the Alphonse Lepage sociocultural center, this weekend of exhibitions will enable the jury of artists to award over $2,500 in prizes and mentions, including two prizes for up-and-coming artists (aged 17 to 35). The “Coup de cœur du public” awards will be presented at the end of the show.
New – Online registration
Artists, aged 17 and over, must submit their entries by June 30, 2021. Each interested artist must submit two original works created in one of the authorized media: drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media and sculpture. The registration form, now available online, must be completed in full, and payment of $56.16 including taxes must be made electronically. The paper registration form is also available, with details of how to apply.
Remember that the number of entries is limited, and that no percentage is retained by the organization when works are sold.
