A new aquatic jewel for Sector B
Brossard mayor Doreen Assaad, accompanied by city councillor Tina Del Vecchio, officially inaugurated the piscine Vanier in the B sector on July 16. This project is part of Brossard’s commitment to providing its citizens with quality, inclusive and sustainable living environments.
A flagship infrastructure at the heart of the sector
Redesigned from top to bottom, the piscine Vanier can accommodate 350 bathers in a modern, green and fully accessible environment. With its beach-style entrance, integrated water features, playful river and two side-by-side slides for the young ones, it becomes a real gathering place for families, young people and seniors.
“In recent years, we have developed and revitalized green spaces and renovated several swimming pools. This type of infrastructure, like the piscine Vanier, makes a tangible contribution to the vitality of Sector B and the well-being of our community. It enhances our daily lives, promotes healthy lifestyles and strengthens the social fabric. Once again, we’re taking concrete action to build a city that’s humane, inclusive and resolutely focused on the future,” says the Mayor.
Distinctive, durable design
The service building, combining wood and steel, includes toilets, changing rooms and a state-of-the-art mechanical room. It stands out for its exposed wood decking roof, visible from the inside. This architectural choice not only contributes to carbon capture, but also adds an aesthetic touch to the whole. This exemplary project reflects Brossard’s commitment to integrating design, performance and sustainable development in its public infrastructures.
