Brossard, July 4, 2019 – The City of Brossard has added a new feature to its summer programming: the OFF Festin culturel. This event will offer two weekends of activities during which Brossardois will have the opportunity to rediscover the places that enliven their daily lives. The OFF will feature an eclectic program of activities inspired by the many cultural traditions present in Brossard, and will encourage exchanges between fellow citizens, all in a fun environment conducive to discovery.
PERFROMANCES D’ART URBAIN | July 13, 1 pm to 4 pm
Esplanade de l’avenue des Lumières Quartier DIX30
The event’s host, Gardy Fury, will kick things off where thousands of Brossard residents mingle every weekend, in Quartier DIX30. At the heart of this first gathering, festival-goers will witness the creation of a mural showcasing Brossard’s cultural mosaic, under the supervision of artist Julian Palma. Around this live artistic performance, revelers can enjoy a festive atmosphere in the company of a DJ, dancers and street entertainers.

For the first time, the City of Brossard will be holding parties at four different locations on the same day. For the occasion, an ephemeral itinerant village will stop off along the bike paths in four of the city’s parks to present musical performances in the company of whimsical characters. What’s more, festival-goers will receive a gift of the event’s emblematic flower, which can add diversity to their garden.
MEASURE FOR MEASURE (SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK) | July 14, 7 p.m.

Written 400 years ago, Shakespeare’s dark comedy could just as easily have been taken from today’s headlines. Repercussion Theater returns to Brossard with ten terrific actors and a striking set design to present this provocative comedy that will have audiences talking from the park to their homes.
