Municipal Elections 2021 | Members of the new Brossard City Council are sworn in

The Brossard municipal councillors who won their seats in the last municipal election were sworn in at City Hall on Wednesday, November 17. City of Brossard clerk Joanne Skelling swore in the 10 members of the new municipal council, as well as the re-elected mayor, Doreen Assaad.

“I would like to thank the people of Brossard for their renewed confidence! I am humbled by their support, and I will continue to do everything in my power to live up to their expectations,” said Brossard Mayor Doreen Assaad.

“The people of Brossard have once again elected a municipal council made up of five men and five women. Having been involved in recent years in the Union des municipalités du Québec (UMQ) initiative to encourage women to enter municipal politics, I am very proud to preside over an all-party council,” added the mayor.

The new municipal council members will reconvene at Brossard City Hall on Tuesday, November 23, at 8 p.m., for their first council meeting. City council meetings can be viewed at brossard.ca/council.
