Diversity and Inclusion Award

At the Gala des Étoiles en travaux publics held on October 23, Ville de Brossard won the Diversity and Inclusion in Public Works award. The award, presented by the Association des travaux publics du Québec (TPQuébec), not only recognizes the excellent work of the men and women who work for the Brossard Public Works Department, but also the city’s commitment to equity and diversity within its teams in a traditionally male-dominated sector.

Of the 130 employees working for Brossard’s Public Works Department, 23 are women, representing 18% of the workforce.

Today, 23 of the 130 public works employees, or 18% of the workforce, are women. In receiving this honor, Brossard has distinguished itself by putting forward a growing representativeness that bears witness to its inclusive vision, where talent is recognized regardless of gender. The city continues its journey towards a more representative, inclusive and equitable workplace, inspiring other municipalities to do the same.

Geneviève Rocheleau of the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux and President of TPQuébec, Patrice Viens of the Ville de Brossard receiving the Diversity and Inclusion Award on behalf of the Public Works Department, and Roch Arbour of the City of Blainville and outgoing President of TPQuébec.
