Ville de Brossard joins the large-scale provincial mobilization movement initiated by Collectif petite enfance and Espace MUNI for Universal Children’s Day. The Grande semaine des tout-petits flag was hoisted on the City Hall flagpole.
“This gesture confirms the importance we place on the development of young children and respect for their rights. Children represent the future, and it is our duty as a society to do everything we can to ensure that they can grow and flourish in a healthy environment, and that everyone has access to the same opportunities,” declared Brossard Mayor Doreen Assaad.
As a Child-Friendly Municipality (CFM), the City of Brossard has been committed for several years now to making early childhood a central focus of its priorities and decisions, notably by putting forward a varied program of activities and services for children and their families. Support is also offered to many local organizations that work with this clientele.
The 8th edition of the Grande semaine des tout-petits takes place from November 20 to 26, 2023. This week is an opportunity to reflect collectively on the subject of early childhood, and to rise together to make the rights of the very young a priority for society.
