Ville de Brossard would like to congratulate the twelve recipients from Brossard who received the Lieutenant-Governor’s Medal in the “Youth” and “Seniors” categories, a few weeks ago, at a special evening held at the Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean.
“I am delighted and moved to see the commitment and dedication of exceptional Brossardites who have made it their vocation to improve the quality of life of their peers. Your generosity fills the hearts of so many people with joy, and that’s a credit to you. We are fortunate to have people like you in our community. You are admirable and we are grateful to you,” says Brossard Mayor Doreen Assaad.
Youth” category
The Lieutenant-Governor’s Youth Medal recognizes sustained volunteer involvement at the community or social level. A young person with a positive attitude and influence in a community group can also be awarded this honorary distinction.

Seniors” category
The Lieutenant-Governor’s Medal for Seniors recognizes volunteer work, determination and dedication to the community. Through his or her involvement, the recipient has contributed to the well-being of his or her community or to the achievement of an organization’s mission.

About the Médaille du lieutenant-gouverneur du Québec
Following a tradition established in 1884 by the Honourable Louis-François Rodrigue-Masson, the Lieutenant-Governor’s Medal has been awarded to Quebecers since 2007, in recognition of their social or community commitment and their ability to surpass themselves.
