Christmas festivities come to life from November 17 to 19 with the arrival of the Marché de Noël de Brossard. Bringing together more than 75 craftspeople and gourmet artisans, this event promises to delight participants of all ages.
“This year, we’ve completely redesigned the outdoor site to offer a most festive Christmas market. People will have the opportunity to stroll between indoor kiosks and outdoor huts to discover exhibitors offering a variety of artisanal products, unique creations and gourmet delights. It’s the perfect opportunity to come and make exceptional finds that will make perfect Christmas gifts – it’s a rendez-vous!” said Mayor Doreen Assaad.
Young and old alike will have the chance to meet Santa and his elves, who will be on hand to take photos and share some merry moments. In addition, families can enjoy a picturesque train ride, take part in a puppet theater that will make the youngest eyes sparkle, and listen to the famous Christmas Market legend told by talented storytellers. Old-time wakes will also be back, offering traditional outdoor shows that are sure to get the whole family tapping their toes. Comforting treats and mulled wine will be available in an enchanting setting reminiscent of traditional European Christmas markets.
Once again this year, the event will welcome the talented Nicolas Boulerice as spokesperson. In 2002, he founded Le Vent du Nord, with whom he has produced over 2,000 concerts and 10 albums. In 2015, he released Maison de bois, his first solo album as a songwriter, just after winning the CALQ award for Creator of the Year in Montérégie.
