Brossard’s sociocultural center was definitely the place to be on November 15, 16 and 17! More than 25,000 people turned out to soak up the festive atmosphere, discover the products offered by the 75 artisans on site, and attend performances throughout the weekend. This was a historic turnout for the event, which was celebrating its 30th edition this year.
The legendary group La Bottine Souriante put on a frenzied performance for festival-goers on Saturday. “The energy under the big top was incredible. People were singing, dancing, stomping their feet, it was a sight to behold,” said Brossard mayor Doreen Assaad.
“The entire program for this 30th edition was top-notch. The gourmet and fine craft products offered by the artisans were of exceptional quality, and there was a wide variety on offer. The activities were magical and the decor, enchanting. The Marché de Noël de Brossard has certainly become a must-see event in the region, as evidenced by the 25,000 people who visited this year,” added Ms. Assaad.
Coup de cœur du public 2024 award
On Sunday November 17, the Christmas Market concluded with the presentation of the Coup de cœur du public 2024 award to the craftsman who had garnered the most popular votes. Acting Mayor Sophie Allard had the honor of presenting the award to Béatrice Letendre, of Gnomes et cie, which makes festive Christmas gnomes.
