Living in the present. Building the future. A new identity for Brossard, inspired by citizens and created for the future

16 October 2024 Last update 17/05/2025

Ville de Brossard is proud to unveil its new image, an essential step in the evolution of its community. This project marks a turning point in its history, uniting fundamental values with a vision of a prosperous future.

Why a new image?

Brossard is undergoing a major transformation, and it was crucial that this evolution be accompanied by a visual identity that reflected our collective ambitions. Remember that in 2021, a citizen branding workshop gathered ideas and values that characterize us: hospitality, progressivism, respect and altruism.

Today, with this new visual positioning, Brossard embodies dynamism, innovation and commitment to its citizens: “Our new brand image embodies the spirit of Brossard. It reflects not only who we are today, but also what we want to become. Together, we are building a city that is inclusive, welcoming and forward-looking. It is with great pride that we share this transformation with our citizens, who are at the heart of this evolution,” said Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard, when she presented the new positioning at the October 15 City Council meeting.

This new positioning goes beyond a simple visual change. It embodies a commitment to building a dynamic city ready to face the challenges of the future. In collaboration with the Orangetango agency, each element has been carefully designed to reinforce the sense of belonging among citizens and showcase Brossard as a city on the move.

The eight pillars that define Brossard’s uniqueness

Brossard’s new image is based on eight main axes, which capture the diversity and commitment of our city:

  • Family-friendly: with facilities like a library, aquatic complex and parks, Brossard is an ideal place to grow, thrive and enjoy life as a family.
  • Welcoming : With infrastructures such as the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge and the REM, Brossard is positioned as a key city for business and leisure tourism.
  • Multicultural: A crossroads of cultures, Brossard is a city rich in diversity, a real asset that forges strong ties within the community.
  • Community : Brossard values community life, with more than 57 communities contributing to the richness of our city.
  • Green: Brossard is committed to an ecological transition with initiatives in forestry, urban agriculture and sustainable mobility, while preserving access to nature.
  • Inclusive: as a member of the Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities, Brossard fights racism and discrimination, while promoting equality for all.
  • Visionary : Brossard looks to 2040, with ambitious plans for a downtown that is inspiring, sustainable and in tune with citizens’ priorities.
  • Urban: Quebec’s twelfth-largest city, Brossard combines economic dynamism, vibrant cultural life and a prime location for shopping and fine dining.

Building a future together

This new positioning represents a unique opportunity to celebrate Brossard’s DNA: a multicultural and welcoming city, offering a harmonious living environment that combines the advantages of urban life with the tranquility of the suburbs. Our commitment to future generations is reflected in our eco-responsible infrastructures and innovative transportation solutions. “This new visual identity marks a decisive moment for Brossard. It allows us to better communicate our ambitions and vision for the future, while remaining true to our values. It’s a collective effort that inspires pride and unity within our entire municipal team,” says Guy Benedetti, General Manager.
