Brossard, September 28, 2021 – The Salon des arts visuels de Brossard was a great success with delighted visitors for its 28th edition, held for a second year as part of the Journées de la culture. The event came to a close on Sunday, September 26, in the presence of Brossard Mayor Doreen Assaad, elected officials and artists, at the Centre Socioculturel Alphonse-Lepage, for the unveiling of the Coup de cœur du public awards.
115 artists exhibited
Under the artistic direction of painter Melsa Montagne, the Salon welcomed enthusiastic visitors, who came to admire the works created by over 115 artists, painters and sculptors. The event was punctuated by experimental workshops and performances during the festive Perform’Art! evening on Saturday.
“Presenting the Salon des arts visuels during the Journées de la culture is a perfect alliance for people to discover and appreciate visual art in its many forms,” says Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.
Once again this year, the Corporation des biens culturels de la Ville de Brossard has purchased works to enrich the municipal collection.
