Pet Day is back for its 10th edition! On June 8, animal lovers young and old are invited to Michel-Normandin arena, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., for a furry family get-together! It’s the perfect opportunity to discover and enjoy, to learn and equip yourself, and above all, to have fun!
Entertainment for all
Some thirty exhibitors will be on hand to present products and services for our faithful companions, and to educate the public. Canine and feline behaviorists will be on hand to offer advice, and several animal shelters will be offering responsible adoption. Who knows, it might just be the place to meet a friend for life!
Once again this year, l’Éduchateur will present lectures on animal myths and beliefs, and cat-dog cohabitation. L’Univers de Shelby will entertain the crowd with dog agility shows. Educazoo will bring visitors into close contact with exotic animals, and make them more aware of their needs. Last but not least, the Faim Renard street food truck will be on hand to satisfy any munchies.
This year’s event promises to be more family-friendly, with new activities for kids! Face painting, a treasure hunt, door prizes and other surprises will be on the menu for the day.
Animals not allowed inside
In order to reduce stress to the animals on site, visitors’ pets will not be admitted. Daycare will be available for microchip registrants during the event.
Microchip registration required
It will be possible to have your pet microchipped, at a reduced rate, by SPCA Roussillon veterinarians. Owners must register their pet online with JAC and pay the fees before the event. The registration form must be duly completed at the time of registration. The deadline for registration is May 31. Places are limited.
