Renovation work and return of the OSM to the parks.
At the regular meeting of the municipal council of the Ville de Brossard held yesterday, January 17, the elected officials adopted three by-laws concerning street repairs and a resolution concerning the OSM. These adoptions will :
- To incur the necessary expenditure for the rehabilitation work on avenues Maupassant, Van Dyck and rue Tunisie.
- To confirm the return of L’OSM to the parks in the summer of 2023.
REPAIR WORK
The Maupassant aqueduct and sewer rehabilitation project (REG-437) involves upgrading municipal infrastructure on avenue Maupassant, between boulevard Milan and avenue Malo. These include, in particular, replacement of the water supply system, sanitary sewer and spot repairs to the existing storm sewer, installation of a new lighting system, and landscaping work including, in particular, the purchase of new street furniture. The sum of $7,029,353 is provided for in the ITP for the year 2023. Complete refurbishment of avenue Van Dyck (REG-458) and rue Tunisie
(REG-459) include the installation of a new water supply system, replacement of the sanitary sewer, rehabilitation of the storm sewer, construction of curbs and sidewalks and replacement of the existing lighting system. These two projects are included in the ITP for 2023, as part of the aqueduct and sewer rehabilitation program. The budget for work on avenue Van Dyck, between boulevard Provencher and avenue Panama, is $11,725,440. The work on rue Tunisie, between boulevard Pelletier and avenue Trépanier, represents an investment of $7,117,600.
OSM RETURNS TO BROSSARD
The City is pleased to announce the return of L’OSM to the parks in 2023. This event will give the people of Brossard an unforgettable evening in the company of an internationally renowned orchestra. This will be the OSM’s 6th visit to Brossard, and it’s a date you won’t want to miss on July 27 at Parc Poly-aréna.
