Ville de Brossard is offering a special edition of Fest-Hiver on February 12 and 13, with free outdoor programming at Parc Poly-aréna. Young and old alike will enjoy sporting activities, fun workshops, entertainment and fireworks. In addition, a snowman competition will showcase the talents of young Brusselites.
“I’m really excited about this special edition of the Fest-Hiver, because it’s an opportunity to have fun outdoors and enjoy the joys of winter. This winter rendezvous, eagerly awaited by Brussel’s families, promises great activities in a superb setting. On behalf of the municipal council, I invite you to take part in large numbers,” declared Mayor Doreen Assaad.
February 12 and 13 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Brussel’s families can move, dance and have fun in a festive atmosphere. On site, access to inflatable games, a giant slide, an axe-throwing station, music and carnival characters. Special activities on Saturday afternoon include an iceman-decorating workshop, ice-sculpting demonstration, entertainment and games for the whole family. On Sunday afternoon: taffy on snow and family activities.
Saturday electro torchlight evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Participants will sway to the beat of DJ TIZI, while enjoying the illuminated slide and a fireworks show.
In order to comply with current physical distance regulations, online booking is compulsory. Access free of charge. Vaccination passport required for ages 13 and over.
Snow design competition
Creativity will be the order of the day with the return of the snowman contest, with its theme of the colors of the world. Snow or recycled materials are accepted in the manufacturing process. Participants are invited to post a photo of their snowman on Instagram with the hashtag #festhiver2022 or fill in the online registration form on the fest-hiver page by March 4.
A random draw will determine the eight (8) winners, each of whom will receive a $50 gift card to a local business, plus a one-on-one photo opportunity with Fest-Hiver characters.
Fest-Hiver continues during spring break
Fest-Hiver will also be offering surprise activities for children during spring break from February 28 to March 4, around the skating rinks and other municipal facilities.
