A not-to-be-missed event in Brossard
Nearly 600 citizens met with members of the municipal council last Saturday at the Échange de vœux avec les élus event held at the Centre socioculturel Alphonse-Lepage. The great popularity of this activity, which has become an annual tradition, once again confirms its importance to the Brussells community.
This convivial gathering enabled participants to exchange views with the mayor and municipal councillors in a relaxed, festive atmosphere. The morning featured a number of family activities and a light snack accompanied by a Mimosa Mocktail.
The mayor took the opportunity to present gift cards to the winners of the Christmas ornament contest, who were asked to make an eco-friendly decoration to hang on the tree. The winners – Béatrice Turner, Kloé Lone Sang and Skye McNaughton – each received a $100 gift card redeemable at iSaute.

The mayor expressed her delight at the renewed interest in the event.
“It’s always with great enthusiasm that I look forward to this meeting at the beginning of the year. I’m deeply touched that so many people choose to devote their Saturday mornings to talking with us. These authentic conversations enable us to better understand their expectations, concerns and aspirations. Thanks to these exchanges, we are able to make decisions that are fairer, more informed and better aligned with their needs,” said Mayor Doreen Assaad.
