The traditional Exchange of Wishes event with elected representatives was a great success once again this year. Nearly 600 citizens gathered at the Alphonse-Lepage sociocultural center on January 18 to ring in the New Year with the mayor and municipal councillors.
Now a not-to-be-missed event, the number of guests has doubled over the past two years. Mrs Assaad said she was delighted that so many Brossardois had responded to the invitation. “I’m delighted that the residents took the time out of their often busy schedules to come and say hello. It’s always a great pleasure for me and my colleagues on the municipal council to talk with the people who have entrusted us with the mandate of offering them a better quality of life in their city, and to learn more about their expectations and concerns,” emphasized the mayor.
Among the guests, the 150 or so children present received u

festive and unique coloring book featuring the works created by participants in the 2024 Christmas drawing competition. In fact, the three contest winners were determined in a draw held by the mayor during the event. In the photo opposite, Samuel Parris, Béatrice Turner and Brandon Diec-Luu received a $100 gift card from De Serres to perfect their talent. Face painters, clowns and a magician were also on hand to brighten up the children’s day.
