Brossard, February 26, 2020 – The Mayor of the Ville de Brossard, Ms. Doreen Assaad, is proud to announce the hiring of Mr. Eric Laporte as Chief of Staff. Mr. Laporte will take up his new position on March 23, 2020.

With a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Mr. Laporte has a long track record in municipal, political and entrepreneurial circles. He was chief of staff for the Rivière-des-Prairies-Pointe-aux-Trembles borough from 2011 to 2016, city councillor for Repentigny from 2009 to 2013 and MNA for Assomption from 2007 to 2008. Since 2018, he had been a senior advisor in business incubation and acceleration for CIENOV.

Laporte has won numerous awards and distinctions. He was notably the 2018 recipient of the Fondation HEC Montréal’s Germain Benoit Scholarship and 2018 Regional Laureate of the Ose Entreprendre competition. He has also served on the boards of CLD de la MRC de l’Assomption, Société de développement récréotouristique de Repentigny and Défi intégration-Développement- Accompagnement (DIDA).
