Janou-Eve LeGuerrier’s project will highlight unique artistic explorations, with a participatory approach.
BROSSARD, January 16, 2025-The Ville de Brossard is proud to celebrate the success of artist Janou-Eve LeGuerrier, winner of $18,000 in financial support from the Entente de partenariat territorial pour les arts et les lettres en Montérégie. This funding will enable her to carry out a research and creative project on the theme of intimacy, which will take place at the Fab Lab of the Georgette-Lepage library in Brossard.
An initiative to enrich local cultural life
Janou-Eve LeGuerrier’s project will highlight unique artistic explorations, with a participatory approach that engages the local community. His exhibition will be presented at the Galerie Renée-Blain at the Centre Socioculturel in spring 2026. This initiative reflects Brossard’s commitment to culture and the importance of creating spaces where artists can innovate while strengthening ties with citizens.
A strong partnership to support the arts
Funding for this project is part of a collaboration between the Ville de Longueuil, the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation, and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), as part of the Entente de partenariat territorial pour les arts et les lettres en Montérégie. This agreement distributed a total of $238,000 to support eleven artists and three cultural organizations throughout the Longueuil agglomeration.
Supporting creativity and community involvement
“We are delighted to see a talented Brossard artist benefit from this support for a project that combines creativity and local roots. Janou-Eve LeGuerrier’s work at our library’s Fab Lab will enrich our community and reflects the importance we place on arts and culture,” said Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.
A renewed call for summer 2025
This call for projects marks the second phase of an agreement renewed for three years. Ville de Brossard invites interested artists and organizations to watch for the next call, scheduled for summer 2025, to continue supporting the region’s cultural vitality.
