On October 14, the Ville de Brossard launched the Dessine-moi Noël contest, with the aim of finding the artwork that will adorn the city’s Christmas cards this year. Although two illustrators were sought after, in the end it was three young artists who were rewarded with a $75 gift card and a frame for their drawing.
Indeed, the choice was so difficult that the jury, made up of members of the town council and the administration, decided at the end of its deliberations to retain the illustration of a third participant. “The 2021 vintage was particularly rich; the designs were all so colorful and festive that choosing just two was an almost impossible mission,” said Brossard Mayor Doreen Assaad.
The winners were Alex Baranski, from École Guillaume-Vignal, Dustin Toy, from École Harold-Napper, and Cheyvee Laana Dindoyal, from École Samuel-de-Champlain.
The drawing contest, which has become an annual tradition, was aimed at5th and 6th graders living in the area. Ville de Brossard would like to thank all the budding artists who submitted their valuable entries and made this year’s edition a success.
