Launch of the 23rd edition of the Grande Guignolée des médias de la Rive-Sud. See you on December 5!

The City of Brossard warmly invites its citizens to give generously during the 23rd edition of the Grande Guignolée des médias de la Rive-Sud, which will take place on Thursday, December 5 in Brossard. This vast campaign is an important opportunity to show solidarity with the most vulnerable members of our community.

“Reaching out to those in need is a powerful act that reminds us that we are all interconnected. By participating in this major donation drive, you are helping to bring support and comfort to those who need it most, young and old alike. It’s a simple gesture, but one that brings hope to many families in our community. On behalf of the members of the municipal council and employees, I am pleased to announce that $5,000 will be donated to the Grande Guignolée des médias de la Rive-Sud. I invite the public to join us by making a donation of money or non-perishable goods on December 5, or at the various collection points on our territory. Every donation is important, large or small,” declared Brossard Mayor Doreen Assaad.

Online, cash or street donations

It’s easy to donate online at guignoleerivesud.org. Volunteers will also be collecting donations at the Panama and Chevrier terminuses on this day of caring. If you don’t have the opportunity to hand in your cash donation on December 5, you can also drop it off at the cash registers of Jean Coutu pharmacies in Brossard.

Donations of non-perishable goods

From December1 to 24, non-perishable foodstuffs can be brought to Mail Champlain in Brossard. Donations collected will be donated to 21 organizations in the Longueuil agglomeration that work with the less fortunate, to sweeten the holiday season.

Thanks to the Grande Guignolée des médias de la Rive-Sud 2023, the Maison d’entraide Saint-Alphonse de Brossard distributed 240 Christmas baskets and provided 2,143 groceries over the course of the year, serving 738 adults and 484 children. The public is therefore urged to exceed these numbers in 2024 for this unmissable event of solidarity and generosity.
