Ville de Brossard invites citizens of all ages to discover the program of activities offered during spring break.
Spring break is just around the corner. Ville de Brossard invites citizens of all ages to discover the program of activities offered from March 2 to 10 inclusive throughout the territory. We’re off to a great start!
Shade please!
We kick off the week in style with a performance of Mwana et le secret de la tortue, a magnificent family shadow play and puppet show, on March 3 at 10:30 am. To purchase tickets, visit the box office.
The show will be followed by the opening of the brand-new thematic exhibition Sortir de l’ombre! by the Ombres Folles theater company, on view at Galerie Renée-Blain from March 3 to May 5. Turn one outing into two activities! It is also possible to visit the exhibition alone, free of charge.
Cool off at the aquatic complex
You’ll have the opportunity to take a dip in the aquatic complex or relax by the pool during this beautiful week of vacation, thanks to an improved free swim schedule. Bathing suit and towel required!
A world of possibility inside
Numerous free indoor activities are available for the whole family to enjoy, some of which can be booked in advance, such as racquet sports. Active families can come and stretch their legs at the Family Matinées of Free Ball. In the evening, the ball is passed on to teenagers aged 13 to 17, who are invited to take part in free basketball.
A stopover at the Georgette-Lepage Brossard Library
From March 4 to 8, add the library’s Espace jeunes to your itinerary. Children aged 5 to 12 can enjoy free workshops every morning at 10 a.m.: board games, construction, Makedo (registration required at biblio.brossard.ca/activites), LEGO® as well as stamps and stencils. At 2 p.m., bring your popcorn and take a seat to watch a great family movie.
Skate the tiles!
Lace up your skates, put on your warm-up gear and take to the ice at the CN Sports Complex on March 6, from 1 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. A guest DJ will warm up the atmosphere and provide musical accompaniment for skaters young and old. There will also be free skating at the Michel-Normandin arena and the CN sports complex during the week.
Next stop: Large urban park
The public is invited to come and move on the white – or perhaps green – snowy beach of the Great Urban Park. On March 8, bored cyclists can explore the trails on fatbikes. On March 9, a Zumbottes session will be offered.
The vagaries of the weather often dictate vacation activities, and this will be the case for neighborhood ice rinks. Stay tuned for site opening and closing conditions at brossard.ca/winter and on the Town’s Facebook page before you make the trip!
